Three Great Organizations Collaborate to Bring Outdoor Accessibility to North Central Florida.

Last month EcoRover Chairs executed an Affiliation Agreement with the University of Florida Department of Occupational Therapy, UF Health Shands and UF College of Public Health and Health Professions for the purpose of a Doctoral Capstone Program.  Under this year long program, graduating doctoral students, professors and staff at UF will evaluate user interface with EcoRover Chairs, and specifically with the upcoming complex seating system that will allow EcoRover Chairs users to stand and recline.

Yesterday, the first EcoRover Chair was delivered to Alachua Conservation Trust, also located in Gainesville, FL.  This nonprofit organization is planning outdoor accessibility with many EcoRover Chairs for their properties in North Central Florida and has offered to collaborate their program with The University of Florida’s Doctoral Capstone Program.

“It was a pleasure delivering the first EcoRover Chair to Alachua Conservation Trust yesterday and meeting Danny Rohan and Ema Olmas” Says Thomas Griffin, Marketing Manager for EcoRover Chairs. “At UF we will be working with Tyler Martin, Doctor of Occupational Therapy Student and Professor Linda R. Struckmeyer,  UF Department of Occupational Therapy.”

EcoRover Chairs is proud to collaborate with these outstanding organizations.  UF OTD will make a presentation on the program at the Florida Occupational Therapy Association Convention in November of 2025.
