Day One at Self-Reliance in the Parks

Super fun day on the EcoRover Chairs with Anthony Radano and Henry Spells at Upper Tampa Bay Conservation Park. Overnight showers gave way to some great water hazards and a very mild August morning. Today’s outing was a trial run for an upcoming trackchair event sponsored by Self-Reliance, Inc in Tampa, FL. The Otter Trail provided some great opportunity to churn up some mud and check out the wildlife on the back bay estuary. This .6-mile loop took them back to the shelter. Then they departed for the .26-mile Eagle Trail, a winding shell path that popped out on a board walk that took them to Tampa Bay. Plenty of saltwater wildlife. Henry made friends with a fiddler crab and then gently released him back to his home, a hole in the sandy estuary.
