Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission opens EcoRover Chair operations in Brooksville, FL

In Early 2023 Hana Brinkley, Center Coordinator for the FWC Chinsegut Conservation Center opened a dialogue with Cordell Jeter, President of EcoRover Chairs to start track chair operations for persons with mobility limitations at the Brooksville, FL park.  Hana had internal funding and Cordell configured a multi-application EcoRover Chair that included an attendant control so a park ranger or parent could walk alongside and control the EcoRover Chair for guests needing that assistance.  By May the ERC was delivered, and the first event was scheduled for June 10th.  It was an evening guided tour that featured knowledge and close encounters with a flying animal that Chinsegut is known for, bats!

After the event, Thomas Griffin from EcoRover Chairs chatted with the program’s first guest, Celena Foster.  “I had so much fun” says Celena, “I have multiple sclerosis, so I never get this opportunity to explore nature. There were bats, lots of bats!  I want to talk about the program so many more people can enjoy it too, it was fantastic.”

EcoRover Chairs would like to thank Hana Brinkley and the Chinsegut Conservation Center for a wonderful program which also includes adaptive archery.  We look forward to working with you on your upcoming events. Chinsegut Conservation Center | FWC (myfwc.com)
