EcoRover Chairs nominates Self-Rising Mobility as dealer in Kentucky.

In 2019 Shenitrea Vaughn took a vacation to Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, FL.   As a gunshot wound survivor with paraplegia, Shenitrea did not have a way to access the beach.  Her friend contacted EcoRover Chairs who provided a track chair that easily navigated the sand and brought her shoreside.  Shenitrea says “that day changed my life and all I could think about was how easy it was, how it made me independent, and how do I bring this accessibility back to my home state of Kentucky, and everywhere else too.”

Shenitrea purchased one of the first production EcoRover Chairs and used it at cultural events like Louder Than Life Music Festival, Electric Forest Music Festival and Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

Now in 2023 she has opened Self-Rising Mobility and formally partnered with EcoRover Chairs in a dealer agreement. “Mobility is a privilege” says Shenitrea, “my goal is to show others how the EcoRover Chair easily brings independent mobility to parks, beaches and to cultural events like the ones I go to.”

Self-Rising Mobility took delivery of their new EcoRover Chair demo unit in June of 2023. Based in Louisville, KY they represent ERC in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
