University of South Carolina Assistive Technology Expo

EcoRover Chairs was pleased to provide demonstrations at the University of South Carolina, School of Medicine Columbia, Assistive Technology Expo.  The event featured a full day of exhibits and workshops showcasing assistive technology for people with a wide range of disabilities.  Cordell and Sandra Jeter had the opportunity to meet with existing colleagues in the Carolinas and met many new contacts who were eager to partner with EcoRover Chairs.  One of these is Waymaker Offroad Wheelchairs in Hartsville, SC. https://www.waymakeroffroadwheelchairs.com.  Jake Bisector is the director of Waymaker who own many track chairs and provide them at no charge for adaptive recreation in the Carolinas.  Another is Dr. Wallace Boyd who runs an adaptive hunting program for over 100 hunters with disabilities, on 42 properties in the Carolinas.  A partnership is now formed with Dr. Boyd for EcoRover Chairs to provide their All-terrain tracked wheelchairs for the program.   And Roy Shelley, President of Friends of Harbison State Forest in South Carolina, opened a dialogue to model the very successful EcoRover Chair program put on by Friends of Seminole State Forest in central Florida.   “It was a wonderful Expo” said Cordell Jeter, President of EcoRover Chairs. “We extend our gratitude to the University of South Carolina for the invitation.  The hospitality was great, and we look forward to coming back next year!”
